An essential and honestly refreshing piece of theory and research on the apparent lack of uprising/organising/etc among the precarious migrant workers in the UK. Theodoropoulos lays out the way precarity influences one's identity, finding comfort in the fact you as an individual are able to overcome adversity. Moreover, Theodoropoulos gives the UK union scene a much-needed piece of criticism: they overwhelmingly abandon the precarious migrant worker, and in assuming such workers are 'unorganizeable', leave a lack of alternatives to hyper-individualism and self-sacrificing suffering.
